Quiet study rooms

How to book quiet study rooms:

There are 11 quiet study rooms available for students, faculty and staff. Those rooms are located on the second floor in the Library. Each room is equipped with a PC, table and chairs, electrical outlets and access to the wireless network.

In order to book those rooms you have to come to the Information Desk (first floor).

  • It is possible for a student to book a room:

For up to 6 hours, if the library is open till 8 p.m.

For up to 7 hours, if the library is open till 10 p.m.

  • Rooms can be reserved 3 days in advance,
  • If a user happens to be late for more than 15 minutes, the reservation is cancelled,
  • In order to get the keys for quiet study rooms, you have to show your student ID card.


Study boxes

Students have 2 quiet study boxes located on the ground floor in the „chillout zone”. Boxes cannot be booked. You can use them if they are empty.


Patio and training room 2.10

Do you need a space for a meeting? Do you wish to organize workshops or lectures? You can use one of our training rooms:

  • patio – for groups over 25 people
  • training room 2.10 – for groups up to 25 people

Those rooms are available from 08:00 a.m. – 08:00 p.m. (different hours available after previous arrangement).

The space in ILC is available for students and MU staff for free.

Please, stick to the rules, keep the space near you neat and clean.


Please, respect the common space

While being in the ILC, you share the common space with others and that is all Library users are expected to:

  • Have covered beverages and small, contained snacks that are permitted to use on the first floor in the lounge sitting area “chillout zone”,
  • Bring no greasy, sticky, crumbly or aromatic foods,
  • Dispose of food and drink in the trash bins or recycling bins that can be found on the f\ground floor near vending machines and on the 1st floor near Information Desk and quiet study rooms,
  • Have no food in the computer room or in the reading room,
  • Not damage the ILC’s equipment – give others the chance to enjoy using what ILC has to offer.

Cell phones

  • Turn your cell phone off or set it to vibrate when entering the library,
  • Take any calls you receive away from study areas,
  • Leave the study area if you need to place a call.
